Discover the rich heritage and cultural significance of our ancestral home

Tsito is a town located in the Ho West District of the Volta Region of Ghana. The name Tsito is derived from springs from the bottom of one of the hills as the hunting grounds of Togbui Fetsukpui where he had his first hunter's hut.

Tsito is made up of the following clans namely: Awakpe, Awalime, Awatey, Norni, Tsanodome, Tsanodza, Tsanonyigbe and Zorgbe

Cultural Heritage

The traditional stool of the chief is more than a seat—it is a sacred symbol of Tsito’s authority, unity, and ancestral lineage. Passed down through generations, the stool embodies the soul of the community, serving as a reminder of the chief’s duty to protect our customs, uphold justice, and lead with wisdom. During enstoolment ceremonies, the stool takes center stage, connecting our present to the legacy of our forebears.
